During your camping holiday in Vallon Pont d'Arc, paddle through the water through some stunning scenery. Here, nature is glorified, respected and admired.
The Grotte de Chauvet takes you back to the Aurignacian era. This cave is home to prehistoric remains, with 420 animal drawings, showing that even at this time, people were honouring this wilderness region. Because visiting the cave is not permitted, the town has reproduced an exact copy so you can come and enjoy it. In the town itself of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, the town hall is a 17th century château. Here, there are seven splendid tapestries depicting the crusades of the Middle Ages.
Throughout the summer, the village is a very busy place. The Lavender and Olive festivals pay homage to the produce of the land with a lot of fun and laughter. Traditional markets take place during the day and at night at various times during the week, selling fresh local produce. Have your fill of the tasty regional produce on offer, including honey, nougat, cold meats and cheese.
Your camping holiday in Vallon-Pont-d'Arc will take you back to the things that matter in life. Get back to the splendours of the countryside and their benefits!
