L’Auberge des Ranchisses, an ode to the Ardèche terroir

Cross the bridge over the River Ligne and head for L’Auberge, the campsite’s restaurant found in a splendid renovated 19^th-century building.

You can eat inside, in the beautiful vaulted dining room adorned with exposed stonework. Or why not dine outside on the terrace, decked with an old pergola in typical Ardèche style and in a shaded area under the towering lime tree? Take in the surrounding landscape with the Monts d’Ardèche mountain range as your backdrop and the campsite down below.

You’re now ready to sit back and enjoy the delicious home-made dishes thought up and cooked by the chef and his crew.

Savour fresh, refined dishes that showcase the rich gastronomic heritage of the Ardèche. Start, for example, with home-cured Ardèche charcuterie, including caillette, terrine, sausage and so on. Or with an Ardèche salad, with chestnuts and warm goat’s cheese.

For the main course, fish, beef, pork, ravioli, or a vegetarian dish – the choice is yours. And there’s certainly plenty of choice! Let yourself be tempted by the chef’s exquisite lamb shank, for example.

Fancy something innovative and out of the ordinary? Then try La Brasérade! The waiters come to your table with a grill... And then? You cook your own meat, just to your liking! Cook it to your preferred doneness, season it to please, and pat yourself on the back for your excellent taste in food!

Finally, round off your discovery of the Ardèche terroir with a dessert. Depending on the season and the chef’s inspiration, end your meal on a succulent fresh note.
