Stayed in Portland Yelloh in Normandy during the Halloween break and it was easily the best run and cleanest campsite that we have stayed in over the past 10 years. Staff were always smiling and happy to see everyone, there was nothing that was too much trouble for the staff to help with. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the bread from the shop was as good as anywhere I have had in France. The swimming pools were super clean and big enough for the size of the campsite. I would stay in Portland Yelloh campsite again.

Overall this is a fantastic site if you intend to spend all your time on site relaxing. Positives: The site is very well presented, landscaped and maintained. Our cabin had excellent privacy, natural shade and attractive planting. There are a wide variety of activities on site, so many we did not use them all over the course of our week long stay. The shop is excellent with the widest variety of breakfast pastries we've ever seen at a Yelloh Village. Negatives: On foot access to the lake is via a steep rough path or walking in the road. It's at least a 20 minute walk to the pedalos. The lake is not really a swimming lake and there is no beach.

Premium pitch. Private facilities were spotless. Check in was easy. Everyone we spoke to spoke in perfect English. Entertainment team (Alex and Timo) were absolutely outstanding with our young son. We were made to feel very welcome by every member of the staff. Food in the restaurant is nice enough if a little pricey. Saying that, it's a nice place to sit overlooking the pool. Petanque was a highlight of our trip. Several hours spent on a nice afternoon. Close to Port en Bessin, though the hill is intense!!

This was our second stay at this Yelloh! Village. This time we splurged on the Port Village apartments and very much enjoyed it. We were in the apartment across from the kiddie splash pad and surprisingly the noise was not too bad. A LOT of foot traffic though. Great location nonetheless. In regards to housekeeping, we had a problem with insufficient bedding upon arrival BOTH times we’ve stayed here. Bad luck I suppose. We will definitely be back nonetheless.

In itself a very nice campsite and the setting is very nice. However, the low score comes from our expectation that branches of bushes and trees at key junctions on the site would be trimmed appropriately. Reception obviously knew, because they warned of the corner / vegetation. For 40 Euros a night you’d expect the access routes to your pitch in (potentially) expensive vehicles to be well maintained.
