The Yelloh! Village Sant Miquel awaits you at Can Llissa, its restaurant with Catalan flavours. The very best produce from the sea and the Pyrenees will delight your taste buds.

A love of the land and the terroir

Can Llissa is located to the north of the campsite, next to the diving club. The restaurant at the Sant Miquel campsite welcomes you in a friendly and attractive setting. The teams want to pass on their passion for Mediterranean cuisine to you, especially, that of the Catalan region.

It has to be said that the region has a rich terroir based on the sea, the plains and the mountains. This means that Catalan cuisine is very varied and delicious.

Also, a love for good-quality produce is a philosophy that is very much part of the local culture. Can Llissa offers you the chance to sample this for yourself either in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the hills.

Paella and rice take pride of place

The restaurant’s menu offers a range of different dishes. You can start with one of the succulent starters, all typical of Catalonia and the Iberian Peninsula. Or opt straight for a main course, taking your pick from the choice of fresh salads that blend the flavours of surf and turf!

One of the highlights of the Can Llissa menu is the wide choice of fresh fish, caught the same day and purchased at the Llançà fish market. There is also a range of charcoal-grilled meats and squid in every form. A mouthwatering selection all round!

However, if there’s one thing you simply must taste at the Sant Miquel campsite restaurant, it is the rice dishes. Rice is a true gastronomic treasure and the real star of the menu here. As proof, it is served in a dozen different dishes, each one as succulent as the next. In addition to the ever-popular paella, which is delicious every time, you can also indulge in:

    • A la llauna rice dishes, where the rice is exquisitely baked in the oven or on the embers. These dishes are all accompanied by seafood, pork or sausage.

    • Or, for a variation on the delicious paella, why not try fideuà, which is cooked with pasta noodles instead of rice. Then there is the black rice of Empordà, again accompanied by flavours from land and sea.

    • Finally, the Can Llissa restaurant offers a choice of rice-in-broth dishes. With lobster, crayfish, seafood or cod, the combination of tastes and textures is a real treat!

And to complement your meal, you can select from the extensive wine list, using an infallible technique for the perfect match: pair a wine from the same terroir as the dish!

Desserts, too, are also very special in Catalonia. Sample the famous Catalan cream, but also the less well-known mel i mató. This is the name given to a Catalan cream cheese served with honey, from Colera in this case.
