Sea, Mountain, Countryside, River… pick your setting

In the end, what really matters are your holiday aspirations.

Do you like sunbathing and relaxing on the beach? In that case, a campsite on the coast would be the obvious choice. With good weather all year round, a coastal stay is perfect for relaxation… With the added bonus of a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Do you prefer a more natural setting, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Nothing beats a campsite in the countryside. The tranquillity and authenticity of the environment will allow you to completely disconnect. Or perhaps reconnect… with nature.

Riverside campsites are also a very popular option. They combine the benefits of swimming with the lush natural surroundings of the countryside. Some campsites offer the added benefit of being in hilly or mountainous areas.

When are you going? The time of year could have a major impact on your decision. The timing of your holiday can affect numerous factors: climate, selection of campsites open, price, availability… All of these elements can have a big impact.

Camping in high season

When you opt for a campsite in high season – July and August – you’ll benefit from all the services on offer in a more vibrant, festive club atmosphere. You’ll be able to get away with the whole family, take advantage of the free children’s clubs being open, and make the most of all the summer events nearby!

However, if you go in high season, remember that there are more bookings. We therefore strongly recommend that you book your campsite well in advance.

Camping in low season

Outside the school holidays and the busy summer period, demand is lower. And most Yelloh! Village campsites are open from May to September. Some campsites can even welcome you all yeard round.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet and a more relaxed vibe, low-season camping is for you. It’s also the perfect opportunity to enjoy a romantic break with your special someone!

What’s more, at some campsites, you can still enjoy most services and activities during low season. These campsites benefit from the « Services All Season » label , which guarantees that the bar, restaurant, water park and activities are open outside the school holidays.

A short break or a longer getaway?

As well as choosing the right period, it’s also important to consider how long you’ll be away.

If you’re planning a short stay, it’s better to head for a campsite close to home. That way, you’ll make the most of your stay with as little time as possible spent travelling.

On the other hand, if you are getting away for a week or more, you can take the time to visit fresh horizons further afield. Take advantage of the long-stay offer with 10% off* on holidays of more than 10 days.

The third point to consider when choosing a campsite is: how will you spend your days?

Each campsite will encourage you to take full advantage of its amenities, which include swimming pools, multi-sports grounds, a wellness centre, gym and the like. These are real social hubs and are the deciding factors for holidaymakers who like to spend much of their time at the campsite.

Children’s clubs for all ages

If you’re going on holiday as a family, it’s best to choose a campsite that’s suitable for even the tiniest of tots. Your youngsters will love the free children's clubs at our campsite for example. While your littlies are busy making new friends, you parents will have the chance to relax and spend some quality time together.

Depending on the campsite, the children’s clubs may be open in summer only or all season long. Most have Kids Clubs and Juniors Clubs for children aged 5 to 12, run by trained and enthusiastic entertainers.

And teenagers aged 13 to 17 can enjoy their own programme at the Teens Clubs available at some campsites!

At some Yelloh! Village campsites, you can even find Special Babies areas, where our very smallest campers can enjoy early-learning activities and educational play under parental supervision.

Water parks for aquatic enjoyment

The swimming pool is one of the main attractions at our campsites. For campers big and small, this is the place to be! Many people associate the holidays with swimming, keeping cool, splashing around and whizzing down the waterslides.

At Yelloh! Village, you can choose a campsite with a water park, available in various shapes and sizes:
