Its towns packed with a multitude of treasures and its small typical villages with half-timbering houses will provide the stage for wonderful architectural and historic adventures. The region has many sites to visit, such as the must-see town of Colmar with its Little Venice, Strasbourg with its magnificent Gothic-style cathedral, Metz with its many parks and its Golden Court Museum, not to mention the World War 1 memorials around Verdun. Visit Nancy, with its medieval, Renaissance and Art Nouveau heritage, not to mention Troyes, a town with ten listed churches. And don’t forget to make a detour to the huge fortress in Sedan, Mont Sainte-Odile, and the fortified town of Riquewihr.
