And its gastronomy? Prepare to be totally spoilt! Pay a little visit to an “estaminet” to sample some of the culinary delights typical of Ch’ti cooking. Ch’ti? Simply the name of the local people and dialect in this corner of France, as authentic as their rich and satisfying cuisine. So don’t miss a chance to sample a maroilles cheese tart; a “welsh”, a very Ch’ti take on the classic Welsh rarebit; or the famous carbonnade flamande, a gorgeous beef and beer stew. A veritable banquet awaits!
Staying in the Somme department, in Hauts-de-France?
During your camping stay on the Baie de Somme, you’re certain to enjoy a fabulous excursion into the heart of nature. The Baie de Somme covers an incredible 70km². Between the white chalk cliffs of Ault, the long beaches of soft fine sand and the pebble banks, this is a truly magical spot. But that’s far from all; head off to meet the seal colony that set up home in the bay some years ago and the migrating birds that stop off on the Picardy coast. The Bay is an official member of the Club of the 30 Most Beautiful Bays of the World, and was awarded the title of Grand Site de France in 2011. Your camping holiday will be nothing if not unforgettable!
