Lying in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the Lure Mountain is a Unesco-listed biosphere reserve and natural beauty spot. As a result of the Alpine and Mediterranean influences, the 1,825 metre high mountain is not only home to a unique flora and fauna but also to an incredible diversity of landscapes.

Whichever you prefer, prepare to admire the fabulous views that await you along the way with panoramas over the area around Forcalquier, the Luberon and the Durance Valley. From the mountain summit, you may be lucky enough to spot red and roe deer, reptiles and perhaps even wolves.
