And you really mustn't miss a visit to the Benedictine abbey of Baume-les-Messieurs! This superb building, emblematic of Romanesque art in the Jura, is home to one of the finest altarpieces in Europe! You'll be amazed by its astonishing belltower!

Baume-les-Messieurs also has a waterfall and an entire underground world to explore, with caves leading to an actual underground lake.
