It is also famous for its untouched nature. The 12 kilometers of fine sand makes it one of the most beautiful beaches on the Opal Coast – ideal for making long walks along the water’s edge. Berck-sur-Mer is paradise for surfing and sailing and who love thrills.
Because of the presence of microscopic algae that grows along the coast, the air at Berck-sur-Mer has a very high iodine content. When you go on your camping holiday Berck therefore, you inhale lots of sea air and benefit from all its energizing properties.
Come and gaze at the Baie d’Authie (Bay of Authie) where a colony of seals took up residence a long time ago. You will be filled with affection when you see the marvelous show they put on for you.
But Berck-sur-Mer is also an Arts and Culture Town where the light and endless beach with its wild dunes inspired a host of famous artists at the end of the 19th century: Manet, Boudin, Tattegrain.
