People of all ages will enjoy a brilliant camping holiday staying at Erquy, in the Côtes d'Armor department. People even say that it was the inspiration for the little Gaulish village where Asterix lived! Its 10 lovely, fine sand beaches and its authentic little harbour are the perfect places to enjoy a camping holiday. With wide, sandy beaches, wild and isolated, as well as beaches that are patrolled and popular, together with all sorts of little inlets, you'll be able to enjoy a variety of watersports here, or just laze around in the summer sunshine.
And don't forget to allow some time for strolling around in Erquy. People who have lived here through the years have all left their mark. From the dolmens to the lighthouses, and including country houses, castles, and remains of fortified Roman towns, walking around the town will take you on a journey back in time.
And when the evening arrives, you'll be able to go for a stroll with the family around the fishing harbour, before stopping off at one of the terraces of the crêperies, bars or high-quality restaurants. The Coquilles Saint Jacques (scallops) you'll find here are one of Erquy's specialities!
