The Vesunna museum, the church of Saint Etienne de la Cité and the Mataguerre Tower, which is a relic of the town's ramparts with amazing views over the old town, are also must-see locations during your visit to Périgueux!
On foot, by bike or rollerblading, travel along the banks of the River Isle using the greenway: during your trip you'll be able to enjoy seeing all sorts of fantastic views and some exceptional nature, as well as being able to take advantage of all sorts of shady areas for some real relaxation! During July and August, why not make the most of the river by hiring a kayak at the Périgueux watersports centre as a novel way of exploring the town and its outlying area? Night time markets featuring local producers and craftsmen are also held on Wednesdays during July and August; perfect for acquainting yourself with all the region's wonderful food and other local produce!
