Did you know?

It's in the Var, and more specifically in Bormes-les-Mimosas, that you'll find Brégançon Fort, famous for being a holiday destination favoured by the country's presidents. So while you're enjoying your camping holiday in the Var, though there's not much likelihood that you'll run into the current president, you'll still be able to enjoy seeing this lovely dwelling and peninsula from the beach at Brégançon.

What to do on a camping holiday in the Var

Situated on the Côte d’Azur, the Var is well-known for its proximity to the Mediterranean and Provence. While the city of Toulon,  the department's most important metropolis, is very popular with tourists, the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, made popular by Brigitte Bardot, is famous all over the world. So wherever you are, make the most of the coastline of the Var and of its variety of inlets, harbours and beaches beneath the hillsides, in a warm and sun-drenched climate.
