The courses camarguaises bullfights, the release of the bulls into the streets and the gardiannes (beef stews), which you can try in Carnon's restaurants, are reminders of the importance of bullfighting in the local culture.

Carnon-Plage is a seaside resort with beaches known as Petit Travers and Grand Travers, which stretch out over 7 kilometres of sand dunes and fine sand.
