Do you know Barcelonnette?

Barcelonnette is a small mountain town at an altitude of 1135 metres. You'll love strolling through the pedestrianised streets and enjoying a refreshing drink in Place Manuel, in the shade of the church tower.

You can discover the very unusual history of the Barcelonnettes: Many of them built sumptuous Mexican-style villas. There are almost 50 in Barcelonnette and 20 in Jausiers.

Even today, the town is steeped in this cultural mix. It is twinned with Valle de Bravo in Mexico. You can dance to the lively rhythms of the Latin-Mexican festivals, which take place in the 2nd week of August.

From Barcelonnette, you can continue towards the major passes: the Bonette and Cayolle passes heading south, or the Larche pass heading towards Italy.
