Built on a spur of the Luberon hills, beneath the imposing Mont d’Or, lies the age-old village of Manosque, a town that justly deserves its reputation as a good place to live. It is also the most populated centre in the Alpes-de-Haut-Provence. The town lies approximately 20km from Forcalquier and 55km from Digne-les-Bains. With its narrow streets bordered by venerable houses, pretty squares with attractive fountains and café terraces, who couldn’t fall in love with Manosque? Add to that its 300 days of sunshine every year and you’re certain to have that wonderful holiday feeling!

What to visit?

In the town itself you’ll be able to discover the remains of the Les Carmes and Les Observantins convents, the imposing tower of the Mont d’Or castle, the Toutes-Aures chapel plus the 4 gateways of the former ramparts: the Saunerie, the Soubeyran, the Porte d’Aubette and the Porte Guilhempierre.
